The premiere episode of the show is titled Up in Smoke and starts with the group working towards getting used to the life after high school. It is set in the period just after summer. On episode two, we meet Jane who reveals Liam’s summer secrets like the beach side bar he purchased and the fishing job he was involved in. Leila is kidnapped and later rescued by her boyfriend. Annie’s hopes to get the inheritance from late Marla fail but her quest to join the sorority succeeds while Naomi does not make it.

Naomi starts her own geek sorority so as to revenge her not been taken. Annie meets Bre when she is trying to raise funds to pay up for her inheritance legal fees and sorority dues. Liam and Jane are getting closer and closer and Annie finds out. Navid finds out about his uncles shoddy deals and reruns the money he had borrowed to save Leila but his uncle threatens to implicate him if he ever tried to expose him.

Ivy is worried about her husband’s deteriorating health and is shocked that none of her friends seem concerned. However, Naomi convinces her t join her geek sorority which is set to complete against Holly’s sorority. Austin supports Naomi on this mission. Adriana meets Jim, Jane’s husband and they decide to keep the secret of his being alive. Party politics ensue and Jim comes out clear and makes it known he is not happy with the relationship. Naomi is struggling to suppress her feelings Austin.

Eventually, Naomi and Holly decide to collaborate on a show of Halloween costume party. But Holly betrays her sabotages the show to embarrass her. The team travels to Vegas where Naomi hopes to surprise Austin during his birthday. Teddy and Shane get married, Dixon and Adriana get more intimate and Navid schemes even more for Amal. The wedding video taken by Silver accidentally leaks to the press and this jeopardizes Teddy’s uncle’s political campaigns.
